David M. Hamm

We remember Dave Hamm, Past Commodore, our friend, our center.   

    With his white hair and beard, Dave certainly looked the part of a sailor.  Pipe in hand, twinkle in his eye, he could spin yarns with the best of 'em.  He was kind and generous and surely loved our get-togethers, either 120 people steak roasts or just a couple friends out for a sail.  I will never forget his gravelly voice and booming laugh saying "Nina Baby!  What's happenin'?"

 

    I invite everyone to send in stories, pictures and personal memories of Dave to the Rudder Post.  I'm sure we'll hear many of them around the yard.

Monthly meeting is held at Marina's Pavilion second Wednesday of the month at 7:30PM.
